Alabama has added another tight-end to its roster with Irvin Smith, a three-star prospect, who has decided to sign with the Crimson Tide after recently decommiting from Texas A&M. The former Fightin'-Texas-Aggie commit visited Alabama officially just one day removed from his decision to explorer his options elsewhere.
Smith, a New Orleans, La. native, is a 6-4, 230-pound prospect out of Brothers Martin. He is the 22nd ranked tight-end and the 523rd ranked prospect overall. Smith chose the Crimson Tide over Texas, Memphis and A&M. Running backs coach Burton Burns and special teams/tight ends coach Bobby Williams have been on the trail recruiting Smith even after his commitment to the Aggies on Oct.
