Detroit Lions defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson was a VIP at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in his hometown of Fort Worth on Sunday.
In addition to watching Jimmie Johnson win the race, the former Alabama All-American was asked by the Texas press corps where he stood with Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
In the Lions-Cowboys NFL game on Dec. 26, Robinson incurred a personal-foul penalty for tossing down Elliott on a run up the middle. When referee John Hussey announced the penalty, he concluded, "... picking up the player and throwing him to the ground unnecessarily.
