ArDarius Stewart came to Alabama after earning All-State honors as the quarterback for the Fultondale Wildcats in 2012. But the Crimson Tide didn't intend for Stewart to play quarterback. He was slated for wide receiver.
So through a redshirt season and a freshman campaign in which he caught 12 passes, Stewart learned and practiced his new position, taking special note of how Alabama's top receiver, Amari Cooper, went about his business.
While Stewart was catching 12 passes in 2014, Cooper caught an SEC single-season record 124. Cooper's 1,727 receiving yards and 16 touchdown catches that season set Alabama records and rank second and third, respectively, in SEC history.
