'Another smart guy from Alabama' reports to New England Patriots' training camp

When New England won Super Bowl XLIX to cap the 2014 NFL season, the Patriots' defense opened the championship game with three cornerbacks on the field – Kyle Arrington, Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis.

One season removed from the game, none of the three is still on the Patriots.

New England got a flash of its future at cornerback in Super Bowl XLIX when former West Alabama standout Malcolm Butler entered the game in the second half and wound up making a game-saving interception on the goal line in the final minute of the Patriots' 28-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
