After one season with the Minnesota Vikings, Andre Smith has returned to the Cincinnati Bengals, but not to take over his old spot at right offensive tackle.
Cincinnati offensive-line coach Paul Alexander told bengals.com editor Geoff Hobson that the Bengals want Smith to step in at right guard.
The former Alabama All-American spent his first seven NFL seasons with Cincinnati. He was the starter at right offensive tackle for five straight playoff seasons before departing in free agency for a one-year contract with the Vikings. The Bengals brought back Smith in free agency for a one-year contract.
