Bobby Bowden was there at Legion Field in 1949 for that first special teams cataclysm.
A year earlier, as a high school recruit, Bowden was at Legion Field for that historic first game between Alabama and Auburn following the series' 41-year Cold War. After going through spring practice with Alabama, he was there in 1949, too, when Alabama kicker Ed Salem missed an extra point with less than two minutes to go. A year after losing to Alabama 55-0, Auburn got swift revenge and upset the Crimson Tide 14-13.
So, yes, Bowden has seen a lot of wide rights through the years.
