If the 12th-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide needed a confidence booster following its difficult loss to Ole Miss, the University of Louisiana at Monroe provided mixed results.
While emotion and intensity remained at respectable levels for the Crimson Tide, only the defense maintained a high level of execution. Despite showing effort throughout the game, the offense continued to struggle with consistency in a 34-0 victory Saturday afternoon.
“Our guys went out there and competed hard in the game,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said. “We tried taking a step in the right direction of establishing the kind of identity that we want to have as a football team.
