National Signing Day was almost certainly one of the least productive work days for college football fans in Alabama and neighboring states, who spent most of the day refreshing their web browsers and Twitter feeds for the latest news on who signed where. With real football months away, it was the closest thing we had to real competition.
But the NCAA in its infinite wisdom has ruined that, or at least severely curtailed it. There are now two signing days, one in December and one in February.
