Another day, another semi-serious spring football practice injury to a key player in this state.
Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had surgery recently for a meniscus injury in his knee. He joins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (finger) as Crimson Tide players shelved, at least temporarily, with injuries suffered in the spring.
Tagovailoa's injury appeared to be mostly a scare, as he's been working some at practice since soon after having surgery. But given that quarterbacks generally avoid contact altogether in the spring, Tagovailoa's injury probably can be written off as a freak occurence.
It's even more dire at Auburn, where the Tigers might not have a healthy scholarship center for Saturday's A-Day game.
