Jonathan Allen no longer plays for Alabama, but that didn’t stop him from claiming one last trophy.
Allen, the now former Crimson Tide defensive lineman, won the Rotary Lombardi Award on Saturday night. He was announced as the winner at a ceremony in Houston.
Allen beat out other finalists Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, Michigan linebacker/defensive back Jabrill Peppers and Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson for the award.
With the Lombardi Award included, Allen won four national awards this season, as well as the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. The Nagurski Trophy, Hendricks Award and Bednarik Award are the other awards he won this season.
