Alabama’s Jonathan Allen doesn’t win Lott IMPACT Trophy

Alabama senior defensive lineman Jonathan Allen was not selected as the Lott IMPACT Trophy winner Sunday night.

Michigan linebacker/defensive back Jabrill Peppers won the award, which was presented at a banquet at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, California.

USC junior cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, who won the Thorpe Award on Thursday night, and Air Force safety Weston Steelhammer joined Allen as finalists for the award.

The Lott IMPACT Trophy, named after USC legend Ronnie Lott, has been awarded annually since 2004 to the college football defensive player of the year “who best exemplifies the IMPACT acronym: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.
