TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Alabama sophomore Jonah Williams made life easy for the rushing attack last week in the Crimson Tide’s 41-9 win at home over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The five-star left tackle from California cleared the way for 496 total yards, including 308 yards rushing – en route to earning the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Behind Williams, the Tide averaged 7.2 yards per carry and 7.8 yards a play.
He secured four knockdown blocks and graded out a team-high 92 percent on assignments, during 56 snaps at left tackle. Williams did not surrender a quarterback hurry or a sack, and guided junior running back Damien Harris to 125 yards with two touchdowns on nine carries.
