For the second straight week Alabama dominated a Top 25 SEC West foe. Another week, another shutout. Mississippi State had no answer for Alabama’s offense as it even failed on a field goal attempt in the first half.

Defense continues to shine
Pitching a shutout against an SEC team is one thing. Pitching consecutive shutouts against ranked SEC teams is another.
The Tide defense is coming into its own and flexed its muscles once again on Saturday holding Mississippi State to 169 total yards and duel-threat quarterback Nick Fitzgerald to -23 yards rushing.
