Alabama's Dazon Ingram to have surgery, out for season

University of Alabama freshman point guard Dazon Ingram sustained a broken left foot at practice and will have season-ending surgery today.

Dazon Ingram will have surgery on his foot and is out for the rest of the season.

Ingram, the state's prep Mr. Basketball at Theodore High School, had started all seven games for the Crimson Tide this season, averaging 7.7 points, a team-high 5.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.

“I am extremely disappointed for Dazon and his family,” Alabama head coach Avery Johnson said. “Dazon is a special, multi-talented player that we use in a variety of ways and he'll be missed.
