University of Alabama freshman point guard Dazon Ingram sustained a broken left foot at practice and will have season-ending surgery today.
Ingram, the state's prep Mr. Basketball at Theodore High School, had started all seven games for the Crimson Tide this season, averaging 7.7 points, a team-high 5.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
“I am extremely disappointed for Dazon and his family,” Alabama head coach Avery Johnson said. “Dazon is a special, multi-talented player that we use in a variety of ways and he'll be missed.
