Senior outfielder Ryan Blanchard opted not to walk across the stage at the University of Alabama's graduation ceremony on Saturday morning. But he found a way to make the day memorable anyway.
Blanchard scored the winning run in Alabama's 4-3 win over Auburn on Saturday night before a sellout crowd of 6,324. Blanchard entered the game in the eighth inning. He had just 20 at-bats all season before Saturday, but finished 2-for-2 in the walk-off win.
"This is one I'll always remember for sure," Blanchard said. "It felt good just for the team. It's Auburn. You always want to beat those guys.
