Nick Saban wasn't the only one getting a raise Tuesday.
Each of his returning assistants got a pay bump while the contracts of the newcomers were also approved.
The headliner of these contracts wasn't new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, but rather outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi. Returning for a third season in that role, Lupoi's pay will jump to $950,000 from $550,000. That's actually more than new athletics director Greg Byrne's 2017 salary of $900,000.
Daboll will make $1.2 million -- a savings of $200,000 for Alabama from the $1.4 million it paid Lane Kiffin last year.
