National media is now talking about the talent that is DeVonta Smith.
His incredible performance for Alabama versus Mississippi at receiver not only landed him National Player of the Week honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation, but it has also gained him attention from the Southeastern Conference too.
On Monday morning, the league’s front office announced the junior from Louisiana as its Offensive Player of the Week.
This is a first for Smith as a third-year veteran in the conference.
The combination of he and his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, paced the Crimson Tide’s attack offensively in a 59-31 win over the Rebels.
