Alabama women's golf swings into action

The importance of the first shot can’t be overstated.

University of Alabama women’s golf coach Mic Potter expects to learn a lot about his team before the first weekend of the regular season even ends. The Crimson Tide tees off for the first time this season Friday in the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tenn.

“At the end of the year we were getting better and better and better,” Potter said. “Hopefully that continued over the summer.”

Potter will not have to wait too much longer to get his answer.

“We had kind of a rough outing at this tournament last year,” Potter said.
