JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The 12th-seeded Alabama women's basketball team fell, 58-49, to 13th-seeded LSU on Wednesday in Veterans Memorial Coliseum in first round action at the 2016 Southeastern Conference Tournament. With the loss, the Crimson Tide stands at 15-15 overall, while the win brings the Tigers' season mark to 10-20.
Sophomore Meoshonti Knight led Alabama in scoring with 15 points. She was followed by sophomore Quanetria Bolton with 12 points. Sophomore Hannah Cook led the Tide in rebounds with nine boards, while sophomore Karyla Middlebrook led in assists with four.
