LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Alabama women’s basketball team lost its first Southeastern Conference road game of the season, falling 73-48 at No. 10/9 Kentucky on Thursday in Memorial Coliseum. With the loss, the Crimson Tide dips to 12-3 overall and 1-1 in league play, while the win lifts the Wildcats to 12-1 on the season and 1-1 against conference foes.
“We got manhandled inside and didn’t do a good job of being aggressive on the outside,” said Alabama head coach Kristy Curry. “You can’t come into Kentucky and shoot 12 free throws. That’s an aggressive statistic, nor can you get outrebounded by 15.
