For the second game in a row, Alabama Women’s Basketball battled hard to force the game into overtime. However, the Crimson Tide fell short against the Georgia Bulldogs, 71-65, dropping their record to 17-11 Overall, 5-10 SEC.
Junior Meoshonti Knight led the Crimson Tide with 14 points and two steals while fellow junior Quanetria Bolton also added 10 points. Freshman Jordan Lewis scored nine points and junior Hannah Cook dominated the backboard with eight rebounds.
Alabama was almost even in every category with Georgia except for one: free throws.
The Crimson Tide was 18 of 33 (54 percent) while the Lady Bulldogs were 21 of 28 (75 percent) in free throws.
