Jamar King's journey to the Capstone has been a long and arduous journey from Detroit, Michigan to Ukiah, California and now to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
King played at Denby Tech/Preparatory High School in Detroit. Without any real offers, he took his game to Mendocino C.C. in northern California. This past season, he registered 63 total tackles in nine games as a sophomore, including nine sacks, 23.5 stops for loss, and three pass break-ups. But still, he was on few radars.
At 6'5" 285, this 3 stars defensive end is somewhat of an unknown commodity. Up until a month ago, the only schools looking at him were UCF, Boise State, Colorado State, and Northern Arizona.
