Alabama’s defense is back.
This was the statement that multiple, credible sources confirmed with yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine at the conclusion of the Crimson Tide’s first scrimmage of fall camp.
“The defense dominated the first scrimmage,” one source said.
After surrendering 18-plus points a game in each of the last two years, the Tide looks to return to its stingy ways.
Despite its 32 sacks in 2019, the output was a big drop from having 52 and 54 sacks in 2015 and 2016.
While the offensive line did a great job at run-blocking, pass protection was a small issue.
