Alabama is expected to make its fourth new coaching hire of the offseason.
The Crimson Tide are expected to hire Charlotte tight ends coach Joe Cox to the same role according to a report from ESPN.
Drew Svoboda served as the team’s tight ends coach and special teams coordinator during the 2021 season. Just a few weeks ago in late January, Nick Saban opted to hire Ole Miss’ Coleman Hutzler to be Alabama’s new special team’s coordinator and now Cox will be taking over the tight ends. There is currently no word on what Svoboda’s status is with the team.
