The Alabama football program received some positive news on Monday afternoon. Alabama tight end Danny Lewis Jr. has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal and will return to Tuscaloosa, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz.
Lewis Jr.’s career has been interesting thus far. After choosing Alabama over his home state school — LSU, many believed that Lewis Jr. would be a key contributor for the Crimson Tide. That has not happened up to this point. In two seasons, Lewis Jr. has played in 31 games with one start. The Louisiana native has recorded just one catch for five yards.
