Former Alabama offensive coordinator and current Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin appeared on ESPN's "College GameDay" program Saturday morning and spent most of his appearance defending Tide quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Kiffin coached Hurts last year at Alabama and said that that the sophomore quarterback has been unjustly criticized this season.
Alongside Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and the other ESPN hosts, Kiffin said that Hurts hasn't received enough credit for what he's accomplished in Tuscaloosa.
"I get tired of so much criticism of him. He's in his second year of playing football," Kiffin said. "His first loss was the national championship.
