The University of Alabama once again proved its prowess in the classroom as measured by a NCAA annual report released Wednesday.
The NCAA released the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) report for the four-year period beginning in 2012-13 and continuing through 2015-16 school year.
The NCAA established these standards in 2003 and by almost any measurement the program has been successful. The NCCA made this comment about increased academic success.
Division I student-athletes improved academically for the 12th consecutive year, earning another all-time high four-year Academic Progress Rate.
“I am pleased that we continue to post strong numbers when it comes to the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate … All 21 University of Alabama varsity athletics teams continue to score well above the national cutoff standard … The vast majority of our teams are well ahead of the national average for their sports.
