Alabama now moves to 13-2 on the year, while UCF fell to 6-6. The game wasn’t an easy win, as it took tight pitching from junior Alexis Osorio (6-1) and some batting help. In the end, it was just enough as the Crimson Tide won 3-2.
In the bottom of the second, it was Alabama Softball and Reagan Dykes that struck first. A two-run home run, her first of the season, brought the score to 2-0. In the third, Claire Jenkins hit a sacrifice fly to score Bailey Hemphill and make it 3-0. Things started to get tight for the Tide as UCF bounced back.
