The Tide fell early in the first to a home run by the Gamecocks. After that, Alabama softball bats warmed up. The 2nd inning was big for Tide bats generating four runs. It was a classic SEC win for Alabama.
Something was amiss on Friday night, however. In the circle for the Crimson Tide was not the usual pitcher Tide fans are used to seeing on Friday games. Osorio is usually throwing the balls and (mostly) strikes to start off the series for Alabama.
Head Coach Patrick Murphy changed up his pitching rotation and it ended up paying off for the Crimson Tide.
