The sounds heard Sunday were sighs of relief from Alabama softball fans after the final out came on a groundout to first base.
Alabama softball finished the season 40-15 and 13-11 in the SEC. Alexis Osorio got the win, improving her record to 20-7. Senior Sydney Littlejohn entered for the last out of the game and got the save. Murphy sent her out to pitch her final out at Rhodes Stadium for the regular season.
It has been a long SEC season for Alabama. Since the March 31st weekend against Missouri, it has been disappointment after disappointment as games were lost on just a few runs.
