Sunday night in Knoxville was a battle of two of the best softball pitchers in the SEC. Alabama Softball’s Sydney Littlejohn clashed with Tennessee Softball’s Matty Moss for over two hours.
Both teams were stuck in a scoreless stalemate until the bottom of the seventh inning when Tennessee’s Brook Vines hit a walk-off homerun to win the game, 2-0.
The Crimson Tide was able to get seven players on base during the game but could not bring any of them across home plate. Tennessee’s Matty Moss (20-1) proved why she is one of the best as she recorded seven strikeouts for the game and had full control of her pitches.
