Alabama soccer falls to Auburn in double OT

The game ended how it started.

It took No.8 Auburn only 74 seconds to score its first goal of the game. The Tigers didn’t score again until Auburn’s Taylor Troutman found the back of the net in the 102nd minute in a 2-1 double-overtime win Thursday night at the Alabama Soccer Complex.

The Tigers dominated possession of the ball early, outshooting Alabama 7-2 in the first half, but Alabama coach Wes Hart said his team settled down later on in the first half.

“We walked into halftime feeling good knowing that we had a pretty strong wind at our backs (in the second half),” Hart said.
