The athletic department boasts 12 programs, including football, that achieved a perfect score in 2013-14.
The NCAA released its annual Academic Progress Report yesterday, and Alabama once again stood out as a star in the SEC as the football program joined eleven other Crimson Tide programs with a perfect single year score of 1,000 for 2013-14. The Tide's multi-year score was second only to Vanderbilt. For those unfamiliar with Academic Progress Rate, which is probably most of us, this is how it's calculated per the NCAA website:
- Each student-athlete receiving athletically related financial aid earns one point for staying in school and one point for being academically eligible.
