When it comes to Alabama’s running game under Nick Saban, a constant each year has been another star stepping up to the fill the role and often even eclipsing the one that preceded them.
Glen Coffee, Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry all bided their time before their number truly was called. And when that did happen, it led to Heisman trophies, national championships and everything in between.
In 2016, however, Saban has a running back corps with a bit of a different look – one operating more by committee than individual.
