BIRMINGHAM | Many college basketball programs are announcing their nonconference schedule at this point, but the University of Alabama men's basketball team may have had the best time doing it.
The Crimson Tide announced its 12 nonconference games (along with one exhibition game) with a 90-minute Summer Tipoff event at a Mountain Brook hotel. Each game was introduced by a player, including the Crimson Tide's four newcomers. Head coach Avery Johnson and UA play-by-play announcer Chris Stewart served as masters of ceremonies for the event, which featured highlights and interviews as well as the initial part of the 2016-17 schedule.
