Alabama redshirt junior DL enters transfer portal

Alabama defensive linemen Damon Payne is expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Payne has appeared in 32 games in three seasons as a redshirt junior with the Crimson Tide as a reserve after signing as a four-star recruit in the 2021 recruiting class from Belleville (Mich.) High School.

The Crimson Tide continue to lose players to the portal with Emmanuel Henderson and Jaylen Mbakwe being among the latest.
