After hearing him give a positive update on Jaylen Waddle, Alabama football fans were waiting on Nick Saban to release information on the status of Trey Sanders.
The redshirt freshman at running back was involved in a car accident in Florida and though his injuries were not life-threatening, supporters of the Crimson Tide wanted to make sure he is doing well. During his weekly “Hey Coach” show on Thursday, Coach Saban spoke on the former five-star recruit. Before the incident, Sanders had a strong performance versus Mississippi State at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Halloween night. He collected 80 yards rushing on 12 carries, in helping Alabama pitch a 41-0 victory over the Bulldogs on Saban’s 69th birthday.
