Alabama RB Jase McClellan out for the season with knee injury

Alabama will be without one of it’s most talented running backs for the rest of 2021.

Head coach Nick Saban announced during his Monday press conference that Jase McClellan is out for the season and will have surgery on his knee this week.

The knee injury was not specified.

McClellan suffered the injury in the first half of last week’s game against Ole Miss. Before leaving the game, McClellan carried the ball six times for 28 yards against the Rebels.

Following the game, Saban indicated that the injury was significant and that it was believed McClellan would miss significant time.
