Jase McClellan is ready to remind people he is an all-purpose running back.
The native Texan was having a good sophomore season for Alabama in 2021. He recorded five touchdowns — including three receiving scores — before suffering a knee injury versus Ole Miss. McClellan had three touchdowns against Mercer as a runner, receiver, and return specialist. He rushed for a score, caught a touchdown pass, and returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
McClellan became the first Crimson Tide player since 2013 to score a touchdown in three different ways in a game.
The 5-foot-11, 212-pounder was an explosive weapon out of the backfield.
