On Monday, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa underwent successful surgery on his dislocated hip which according to team orthopedic surgeon Dr. Lyle Cain.
Below is a statement released by the university:
“Tua underwent successful surgery on his right hip Monday morning in Houston,” said Cain. “The procedure went as planned, and he is resting comfortably. Tua’s prognosis is excellent, and we expect him to make a full recovery. He will return to Tuscaloosa in the next several days to begin his rehab.”
Tagovailoa suffered the injury during last Saturday’s game against Mississippi State where he was sacked on third down right before the end of the half.
