Bryce Young’s trophy case from last season continues to grow.
On Wednesday, the California native added an ESPY Award to his list of accomplishments. He won the ESPY for Best Male Athlete in College Sports. Young was the starting quarterback for the University of Alabama in 2021. As a sophomore, he set single-season school records for passing yards (4,872), touchdown passes (47), and total touchdowns (50). He guided a young Crimson Tide team to a Southeastern Conference Championship and College Football Playoff. Alabama came up short in the CFP National Championship Game against Georgia, but Young became the first Tide signal-caller to win the Heisman Trophy.
