A native of Fort Mill, S.C., DeLong came to the Crimson Tide in the 2018 signing class as one of the nation’s top specialists.
He was considered one of the elite hang time punters in the class and after JK Scott left for the National Football League, DeLong was tapped to replace him. The 6-foot-4, 188-pounder struggled in each of the last two seasons.
