When Alabama players Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones had all charges dropped for their May arrests Monday, the Ouachita Parish district attorney offered a public explanation for his decision not to prosecute.
Now, later in the same day, the players’ defense attorney, Joe D. Guerriero, further explained the reason behind a decision he called “justice,” via the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
District attorney Jerry Jones, in agreement with Guerriero, cited “insufficient evidence” when he elected to drop prosecution against Robinson and Jones.
The players, both juniors, were arrested last month in their hometown of Monroe, Louisiana on marijuana and weapons charges.
