Running back T.J. Yeldon is slated to serve as Leonard Fournette's backup for the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2018 NFL season. But that doesn't mean the Jaguars aren't counting on the former Daphne High School and Alabama standout to be a contributor, particularly on third down, this season.
During Jacksonville's 14-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in an NFL preseason game on Saturday, the Jaguars gave Yeldon a workout during his 24 snaps on the field. Yeldon carried the ball 10 times for 39 yards, with a long run of 17, and caught five passes for 73 yards, including a 29-yarder.
