Quarterback AJ McCarron helped the Cincinnati Bengals regain some momentum on Sunday as they head into the AFC playoffs next week. With the Bengals coming off an overtime defeat by the Denver Broncos on Monday night, McCarron guided Cincinnati to a 24-16 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
McCarron suffered a left wrist injury on the final play against Denver, but he completed 17-of-27 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns against Baltimore as the Bengals wrapped up the regular season with a 12-4 record. Cincinnati tied a team record for regular-season victories. The other two times that the Bengals won 12 games in a season – 1981 and 1988 – they went to the Super Bowl.
