TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama will return from its holiday break and play its first game in eight days when the Tide hosts in-state foe Jacksonville State on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. CT. It will mark the first meeting since Dec. 14, 2001, and the 13th all-time meeting between the two in-state schools (Alabama leads, 11-1).
Alabama had its five-game winning streak snapped in its last game on Dec. 21, falling to Oregon 72-68. The contest was played in Birmingham’s Legacy Arena in front of 14,508 fans, which marked first time since Dec. 21, 2011 the Crimson Tide played a game in Birmingham.
