Alabama Men’s Basketball Falls to No. 9/8 Kentucky, 77-61

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama’s men’s basketball team suffered its first true home loss of the season Saturday, dropping a 77-61 decision against No. 9/8 Kentucky. With the loss the Crimson Tide falls to 0-2 in SEC play and 9-5 on the year.

Kentucky (12-3, 2-1 SEC) shot 68 percent over the second half any attempt at an Alabama comeback. The Tide closed to within four points early in the second period, but the Tide made two of its last 11 shot attempts as the Wildcats pulled away.

UK led by as many as 16 points in the first half, but the Tide finished on a 6-0 run and headed to the locker room down 38-28.
