Alabama’s defense is led by two veteran linebackers in Deontae Lawson and Jihaad Campbell. However, there is another veteran linebacker that continues to provide valuable depth and improve in Kane Wommack’s ‘SWARM’ defense.
That is senior Justin Jefferson. The former junior college standout has been a key player on the defensive side of the ball this season for the Crimson Tide. In eight games, Jefferson has tallied 40 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.
He is often overlooked by other Alabama veteran defenders. However, his impact has been one that should not be overlooked. He is the third linebacker in Alabama’s rotation and has played more than people might have noticed.
