Alabama appears to be evaluating all of its options with the chance that starting center Darrian Dalcourt is unable to play against New Mexico State on Saturday.
Dalcourt suffered a sprained ankle early on in the Crimson Tide’s previous game against LSU. Chris Owens, who played center his first five years at Alabama, took over against the Tigers with Damieon George stepping in at right tackle for Owens.
Despite having someone as experienced as Owens, who started both games of the College Football Playoff last season, head coach Nick Saban is allowing others to get in on the competition.
