University of Alabama gymnast Lauren Beers won her second NCAA Elite 89 on Wednesday at a ceremony held at The Stockyards in Fort Worth, TX. This is Beers second year in a row to win.
The award made its debut in 2010 and since then, Crimson Tide gymnasts have gone a perfect six-for-six in winning it. It goes to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average at the final site of each of the NCAA’s 89 championship.
Not just counting the student-athlete, many people can stand behind the winner and be proud. The coaches and the staff give the athletes the tools they need to be successful.
